Nail Technician Course

The nail technician course is usually a one year course that will give you hands on training in a setting that is similar to a salon for you to be able to master the skills needed to become a nail technician and also learn how to manage your own nail salon.

The nail technician course will be conducted in a classroom or laboratory as it is sometimes called, designed to simulate a working nail salon. You will practice your skills as you operate the salon. Your customers will be students, staff and visitors from around the neighborhood. This course will prepare you to become a licensed manicure technician.

During this one year nail course you will interact with all types of customers and learn good customer relation and communication skills. You will enjoy helping your clients make practical decisions in nail care.

You will be proud to display your certificate after completing this nail tech course and becoming licensed.

The basic instructions you will receive in your nail technician course are:
How to perform a basic manicure, the do’s and don’ts of pedicuring, advanced nail technology, how to manage a nail salon, customer relations, oral and written communications, related theory, what is bacteria and how to prevent or cure bacteria, how to keep your area clean and how to help your clients learn to keep their nails and instruments clean, skin and nail diseases and disorders, and ways to prevent these disorders or to help cure the problems, and also anatomy and physiology. Your nail technician instructor will always be on hand to help you with any and all questions that may arise.

In the advanced nail technician course you will learn:
Freehand nail design, airbrush nail design, acrylic nail technology, the difference between acrylic tips and nail wraps, gel nail application, how to properly use electric filing, and aromatherapy.

This nail technician course when completed will give you the knowledge needed to start your own salon or find employment with a nail salon in your neighborhood. If you enjoy working with the public and helping others then this would be a great profession for you. You will learn to master all the skills needed to be a great nail technician and you will gain many clients.
